Netherlands – NPM Capital to acquire Zorgwerk

25 September 2019

Dutch investment firm NPM Capital announced that it has reached an agreement on the acquisition of Dutch healthcare employment agency Zorgwerk by NPM Capital.

Zorgwerk is owned by ADG Group, a Dutch company that also owns temporary employment agency Timing.

The intended acquisition is submitted to the competent authorities for approval. The acquisition is expected to be completed before the end of this year.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Zorgwerk is in the field of personnel services in healthcare, welfare and childcare. Its fully online platform is used by thousands of healthcare professionals every day.

All employees of Zorgwerk will continue to work for the firm while Daniëlle van der Burg will remain as CEO.

Johan Terpstra, Managing Director of NPM Capital, commented, “We are very excited to be allowed to invest in healthcare. The management team led by CEO Daniëlle van der Burg has built up a lead through successful digitisation of the business model that we would like to expand. We give the team the space and opportunities to realise their ambitions and further develop the company. Together with the Zorgwerk team, we think we can better match the demand and supply of healthcare staff digitally and better serve healthcare institutions in multiple sectors with temporary and good healthcare staff. ”

Hans Kroeze, CEO of ADG services group, also commented, “In recent years, Zorgwerk has undergone a great development under the wings of ADG. The company has grown strongly in customers, revenue and results. At the same time, the company also contributed to the further growth of ADG. I am convinced that Zorgwerk's strategy comes into its own and can be accelerated where necessary with NPM Capital as a new shareholder.”

Van der Burg, also commented, “With NPM Capital we have found a strong partner that supports our growth ambitions. Our culture revolves around employees and customers. Innovation and improvement of our business processes are central to this. It is precisely this combination that has ensured that we have a leading and valued position in the healthcare staffing world. With NPM as the new owner, I see great potential to further improve our strategy and accelerate our growth.”

Last year ADG Group announced that it acquired staffing firm In Person.
