Netherlands – Employment organisations sign cooperation with EURES Netherlands

21 June 2016

The Dutch Federation of Private Employment Agencies (ABU) and the Association of Mediation and Employment Agencies (NBBU) signed a cooperation agreement with EURES (European Employment Services) Netherlands to meet the growing demand for foreign workers in the Netherlands.

The partnership aims to improve access to knowledge and information on the European labour market. The collaboration means that the ABU and NBBU will help people looking for a job through EURES.

"This agreement provides opportunities for new initiatives," NBBU Director Marco Bastian, said. "With this collaboration, we can proceed purposefully and European mediations will be better aligned."

“EURES Netherlands focuses on its partners to organise recruitment events in Europe and to inform European jobseekers about living and working in the Netherlands.  We make EURES a strong tool to bring together supply and demand at a European level," Jeannette Van Yperen, Manager of EURES Netherlands, said.

"Broadcasters expect a shortage on the Dutch labour market,” Maurice Rojer, Deputy Director ABU, said. “They expand their recruitment channels to find the right man or woman for Dutch clients. EURES provides them access to job seekers across Europe. More cooperation with EURES is therefore a logical step. "
