Netherlands – De Staffing Groep installs ex-Randstad execs in Supervisory Board

17 October 2019

Netherlands-based De Staffing Groep (The Staffing Group) has installed a Supervisory Board for the first time in its existence.

The new Supervisory Board consists of Wessel van Alphen senior (Chairman), Vincent Kager (Vice-Chairman) and Hans Hoogeveen.

Company founder Wessel van Alphen Sr. has acted as advisor to the Staffing Group for a number of years after his retirement from the management team, but now considers it time to focus more on other non-work-related matters.

“The installation of a Supervisory Board is an important step in the further professionalization of the governance structure of De Staffing Groep,” the company stated. “The newly appointed supervisory directors will not only have a controlling, but also an advisory role within the organization. Vincent Kager and Hans Hoogeveen are responsible for the monthly consultation with the management team on behalf of the Supervisory Board.”

Kager is an experienced financial manager and former member of the management teams of Randstad Nederland and Yacht Group Nederland. He is currently an independent interim manager, co-owner of VSH Vliegschool Hilversum and a member of the board of the Dutch Association of Airports.

Hans Hoogeveen is described as an experienced expert in the world of people and work. As director of Organization Effectiveness and Development, he is responsible for HR policy at the Plukon Food Group. Until 2015, he worked for 25 years at Randstad Holding NV in various senior management positions in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

De Staffing Groep was established in 1986 and is active in the market with its IT-Staffing, IP-Staffing and GP-Staffing labels, making it one of the largest suppliers of flexible knowledge and capacity in the Netherlands. Around 120 employees work at the company in Nieuwegein.

The company ranks 25th on SIA’s list of Largest Staffing Firms in the Netherlands.
