Netherlands – DPA Group takes majority stake in startup

Dutch Staffing firm DPA Group has taken a majority stake in data science consulting agency Quantillion.

Quantillion describes itself as a startup that helps companies capitalize on strategic and operational opportunities using data-driven methodologies. University of Amsterdam econometrics students Kevin Sipin and Justo Engelander founded the company.

DPA has stated that it will support the company from ideas to business plans and profitable revenue. 

According to Eric Winter, CEO of DPA, there are increasing opportunities to the vast amounts of data that are available to be mined today with analytical techniques. 

"We anticipate that a war for talent around big data talent is inevitable. Through Quantillion we can enable our customers to deploy analytics focused on business issues," Winter said.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
