Dutch staffing firm DPA Group has joined forces with People Group, a provider of interim and consultancy services in the area of purchasing.

So the two companies can fulfill their ambition to acquire a leading position in the market for procurement advisory and interim procurement professionals, they have come under one name: DPA People Group Purchasing Professionals. DPA Group has acquired a majority stake in the new company while the management of People Group owns the remaining 49%. People Group is expected to contribute directly to the earnings per share of DPA.

The management of DPA People Group Purchasing Professionals is formed by Mike de Jongh and Marc Janssen of People Group. 

"The activities and customer portfolios of DPA Procurement and People Group are substantially complementary,” de Jongh said. “It will give the professionals of People Group the ability to fulfill complex procurement projects.

According to Olav Berten, COO of DPA, this acquisition fits perfectly into the DPA strategy aimed at increasing the added value for customers and professionals by acquiring knowledge advantage and scale advantages in niche markets.

“This allows us to offer our clients a wider range of services, and our professionals more development and growth opportunities," Berten said.
