In the third quarter of 2017, there were 566,054 unique vacancies posted online in the Netherlands, according to figures from Jobfeed, the big data tool of Textkernel Jobs.

The top-five requested professions include:

1. Customer service representative
2. Production
3. Service engineer
4. Stockroom employee
5. Logistics employee

The majority of online vacancies, 64.8%, asked for full-time availability while 35.2% were for part-time positions.

Most of the vacancies were found in South Holland, which accounted for more than one-fifth of the job openings. Trade remains the largest industry, with a market share of 20%.

The top direct employers include:

1. ENGIE
2. ING
3. Ministry of defense
4. ASML
5. Rabobank
