Netherlands – Careflex acquires healthcare staffing firm Medical Groep

Careflex Zorg Groep, a Dutch healthcare provider, announced that it acquired the majority of shares of Netherlands-based healthcare staffing firm Medical Groep.

Medical Groep is a full-service partner for healthcare organizations based in Heerenveen in the Netherlands.

Careflex said that by joining forces, a strong and leading party in the healthcare sector it benefits from a total of 800 employees and long-term coverage. 

Jos van Leeuwen, owner of Medical Group, was looking for a future partner to further scale up and expand the organisation. After the takeover, Van Leeuwen will remain actively involved in the company.

Since 1999, Medical Groep has been offering flexible healthcare personnel in day-to-day services at healthcare institutions in the north of the Netherlands, mostly in nursing, care and home care. The self-developed planning tool Planspider is used for this. 

Careflex Zorg Groep is a care provider whose goal is to make the lives of clients in care for the disabled, youth care, psychiatry and elderly care more beautiful, fun and better every day. As a subcontractor in healthcare, Careflex supports project-based healthcare institutions across the country with the most complex healthcare questions. 

“Careflex has the ambition to grow further within elderly care, while Medical Groep can broaden its existing position within the VVT (nursing, care and home care) ​​with services in the care of the disabled, youth care or mental health care. In addition, the combination of both organisations offers a broadening and variation of the work available for the professionals of both organizations with national coverage,” the company stated.

No further financial details were disclosed.
