Netherlands – ABU reports staffing growth

According to the Dutch Federation of Private Employment Agencies (ABU), hours worked by temporary workers increased by 7% and turnover grew by 8% in period 12 (weeks 45 to 48) compared to the same period last year.

ABU divides the year into four-week periods reported, with the 12th period the most recently ended. This period had an equal amount of workable days compared to the same period last year, so no correction was applied.

Temporary workers in the administrative sector increased 6% in hours worked and turnover grew 3% in comparison to the same period in 2015. Hours in the industrial sector increased by 11% and turnover increased 12% compared to the same period last year. Furthermore, the amount of worked hours in the technical sector decreased by 2% and turnover increased 3%.
