Approximately 8 in 10 managers in Spain believe that artificial intelligence create a labour crisis, reports Nation World News, citing research from Gi Group. Despite this, 54.6% of managers believe AI will be an economic, labour and social transformation, while 23% say society will simply face a change in labour market conditions. Of these, 37.7% believe pay cuts will affect jobs in which technology plays a professional role to a greater extent, while 3 in 10 said that pay will be linked to the value of the professional.

Meanwhile, 92.5% of Spanish managers believe that AI technology could threaten the loss of some jobs, although 6 out of 10 respondents believe that new jobs will also be created. Gi Group’s research showed that managers believe specialists in robotics, the Internet of Things and communication between machines (M2M) will be the most sought-after profiles in the coming years. Nearly a third, or 28%, of managers say they feel ready to incorporate AI into the workplace. When it comes to incorporating AI, by sectors, the most optimistic managers are in logistics (50%) and real estate (47.1%).
