Luxembourg – Recruitment start-up raises $20 million in funding (UK Business Insider)

14 November 2016

Luxembourg-based recruitment start-up Job Today has raised USD 20 million in a new funding round, reports UK Business Insider.

Job Today, which functions as a job search app, was founded in 2015 by entrepreneurs Polina Montano and Eugene Mizin, and will use the new funding to boost its growth, through more resources in marketing and expansion of its technical and sales team.

"We’re looking to bring it to other European markets including Germany," Mizin told UK Business Insider. "We also are very keen to launch in the US in 2017."

The app allows employers to post ads and workers to apply for them without the hassle of putting a sign in the window, sending off CVs and waiting to hear for days before getting no response. The latest funding round was backed by Spanish media group Atresmedia, while venture capital firms Flint Capital, UK broadcaster Channel 4, Mangrove Capital Partners and Accel Partners funded the first round. The company’s total investment is now at USD 30 million.
