Italy – Temp agency workers up 12.7%

The number of temporary agency workers in Italy during November 2017 increased by 12.7% on an annual basis, according to figures from Ebitemp, the bilateral organisation for temporary employment representing employers’ associations and unions.

The total payroll of temporary workers in November increased by 25.6% compared to the same month last year. The number of hours worked in November 2017 increased by 25.7% on an annual basis. Broken down by hours worked per worker, Ebitemp recorded an increase of 11.5% compared to November 2016

Eurostat figures showed Italy’s unemployment rate stood at 11.0% in November.
