There are more than 15,000 job opportunities through recruitment agencies available for the holiday season, according to Assolavoro, the Italian National Association for Employment Agencies.

Jobs are available for digital workers that create content in addition to jobs in the traditional holiday-hiring sectors such as retail, fashion, luxury, tourism and food.

Assolavoro noted contracts during the holiday season are typically three months in length. They also require shifts on holidays, flexible time schedules and knowledge of at least one foreign language.

Languages helpful for jobs in the high-fashion and luxury sector include English, Russian, Arabic and Chinese.
