Gravitas Recruitment Group named a CEO. Kurt Schreurs will take on the top role at the UK-based international recruitment firm starting on 1 July.

As part of the changes at the company, Jonathan Ellerbeck, who currently serves as managing director for the UK, will transition to group chairman. Ellerbeck will oversee group strategy and take ownership of corporate governance and driving acquisition opportunities.

“We are excited about the appointment of Kurt as CEO, after seeing his leadership in action with our recent expansion internationally,” Ellerbeck said in a press release. “This evolution of our executive team sets a firm foundation for future growth and enables us to adapt and seize opportunities as they arise.”

Schreurs initially joined Gravitas in September 2022 as chief revenue officer. During his tenure, Gravitas expanded into the German market with new offices in Munich and Frankfurt. It also acquired R2 Group.

Prior to Gravitas, Schruers led a group with 1,2000 employees globally with sales of more than £600 million.

Gravitas has nine global offices and more than £76 million in revenue.
