Germany — First temporary employment trade fair in Elmshorn

01 September 2009

The regional office of the German Agency for Labour (Agentur fuer Arbeit) based in Elmshorn, north of Hamburg is the organiser of the first new trade fair for all matters concerning temporary employment. The trade fair will take place on 10 September 2009.

Thomas Kenntemich, Head of the regional Agency for Labour said "temporary employment is an important part of the labour market even in times of economic crisis whether you look at it as an entry to the labour market, a re-entry to the labour market or as bridging staffing shortages."

"The aim of this trade fair is to bring together job seekers and temporary staffing agencies in order to enable both sides to get to know each other and to job seekers to find out about the conditions of temporary employment contracts."

Several employment agencies have signed up to be present such as afg Personal GmbH, Ariba Personalservice, DIS AG and many others.

The trade fair is intended to be more than just a getting to know you exercise. Thomas Kenntemich recommends that job seekers bring their CVs and other job application documents since the temporary staffing agencies intend to hold actual job interviews at the event.
