Germany — Amadeus FiRe revenue falls 2% in Q1

First quarter revenue fell 2.2% at German staffing firm Amadeus FiRe (AAD: GR). The German temporary staffing market developed positively at the start of the year, but the employment market for qualified personnel remained very strained with perm and temporary placements a challenge. The company reported there will be lower growth rates for the specialist labour market than in the temporary staffing market as a whole.

Temporary staffing revenue fell 4.6% which the company attributed to a shortage of qualified temporary staff. There is also a growing trend among companies toward giving permanent positions to qualified workers, according to the company. However, the change benefitted permanent placement.

Amadeus FiRe reported that moderate revenue growth is still the objective for both its personnel services segment and its training segment, according to the company.

Shares in Amadeus FiRe closed on Thursday up 1.09% to €69.75. The company had a market cap of €362.58 million.
