French freelancer accountancy platform raises €40 million to support all-in-one application for the self-employed

24 November 2023

Indy, a French startup accounting platform for freelancers and the self-employed, announced it has just raised €40 million from BlackFin Capital Partners as well as La Maison and iXO in Series C Funding.

The startup said it will continue to enrich its all-in-one application dedicated to freelancers. It is already possible to create a business and automate accounting with Indy. From January a professional account will be accessible directly on Indy, for free. It aims to be the all-in-one solution designed specifically to meet the administrative, accounting and financial needs for freelancers.

“Our mission at Indy is to support all independents by simplifying their daily lives and making them autonomous via a simple all-in-one application adapted to their needs,” the startup stated.

Most of Indy's features are free to use. Only the functionalities allowing one to carry out their compulsory tax and social security declarations are paid for, via subscription.

According to TechCrunch, Indy’s next step is to become a fintech startup. In just a few months, the startup will offer a free business bank account with a payment card.
