France – Temporary employment remains stable in Q2

Temporary employment in France remained stable showing no growth or decline (0.0%), compared to the previous quarter, according to data from the Ministry of Employment, Vocational Training and Social Dialogue (Dares).

Despite the overall stability in temporary employment, there was a decline in the manufacturing sector (-1.3% compared to Q1 2016) This as counterbalanced with an increase in the construction sector (1.4% compared to Q1 2016) and a rise in the tertiary sector (0.9%). In the Industrial sector, which makes up 7.6% of all temporary employees, there was an increase of 1.3% compared to the previous quarter.

The volume of temporary work has risen by 13.6% since the end of 2014.
