France – Synergie half-year revenue soars 28% as profits rally

Synergie, the sixth-largest staffing firm in France, has approved its interim financial statements for the six months ended 30 June 2021. Revenue increased to €1.28 billion, up 27.9%.

On July 2021, the group reported revenue grew by 62% in the second quarter with growth in both international and domestic businesses.

International revenue, which represents nearly 58% of consolidated group business, grew strongly both in Northern Europe (+22.8%) and in Southern Europe (+47.6%) where Italy plays a driving force with revenue of €299.5 million, now representing more than 23% of the group's activity. In France, the company’s home market, group revenue grew by 19.4%.

According to the company, diversification combined with the effects of cost reductions initiated in 2020, made it possible to obtain a high EBITDA: €69.2m (versus €39.9m in 2020).

Synergie added that its financial structure remains ‘very solid’.

“The group confirms its confidence in the future with the objective of a turnover at constant currency of more than €2.6 billion for the year and the maintenance of high profitability,” Synergie stated.

Shares in Synergie last traded at €37.55, up 0.94% on the day and 8.86% below its 52-week high of €41.20, set on 19 April 2021. The company has a market cap of €906.27 million.
