France – Proman acquires US-based PeopleShare

27 April 2023

Proman, the fourth-largest staffing firm in France, announced today the acquisition of PeopleShare, a temporary employment company based in the US.

PeopleShare was founded in 2005 by Ryan Clark and David Donald in Pennsylvania. With its network of 40 agencies spread over eight states, the company offers its customers a wide range of services in the tertiary and industrial sectors. In constant growth, PeopleShare achieved a turnover of USD 160 million in 2022.

Proman has been present in the US since 2018 and has developed through external and organic growth operations. Since June 2022, the companies that have joined the group are now operating under the Proman banner with the exception of Trades Masters, which was acquired in December 2022.

With the acquisition, Proman is expanding its service offering for its customers and strengthening its geographic network by setting up in four new states: Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

According to Proman, the acquisition also places it among the 20 largest general temporary employment companies in the US. The group now operates in 18 states with 105 branches and employs more than 500 permanent staff.

Roland Gomez, President of the Proman Group, said, “With PeopleShare, we are strengthening our presence in the United States. The development opportunities with this new partnership are enormous. We have great geographical and sectoral complementarity. The teams will work hand in hand to reach our goal of 480 million in turnover.”

In a joint statement, Clark and Donald said, “It is important for PeopleShare to partner with a company like Proman which matches us both in terms of its culture and its values, and its vision of growth.”

Further financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Earlier this year, Proman announced it invested in Aksis Moovéus, a family-run French network specialising in professional development advice and training.

Proman closed FY 2022 with revenue of €3.8 billion, up by 31% compared to 2021.
