PSA Group, the maker of Peugeot and Citroën cars, plans to reorganize production at its Rennes, France, facility that will include creating 400 temporary jobs.

Plans also call for a training program for temporary employees that includes between 100 and 200 hours of training, depending on their previous professional experience. And the temporary workers will be able to obtain a professional certification in metalworking after a two-month introductory period.

The company is gearing up the plant to produce the new Peugeot 5008 Sport Utility Vehicle.

PSA Group is working with French employment centre Pôle Emploi; the UIMM union; temporary employment agencies in the Rennes metropolitan area; and the Fonds d’Assurance Formation du Travail Temporaire temporary employment training assistance fund.
