France – Minister says Uber should work with unions

19 December 2016

French Transport Minister Alain Videlies issued a statement last week calling on Uber to enter into discussions with all trade unions. Vidalies’ statement came after a group of drivers met the minister to complain the human cloud, ride-sharing firm was meeting with only one trade union organization.

The drivers also raised concerns over income.

Fortune reports the move comes amid days of protest against Uber by drivers.

Uber is considered by Staffing Industry Analysts to be part of the workforce ecosystem as it acts as a work intermediary matching drivers to passengers. It is part of the human cloud.
