France – Groupe Crit reports flat results in Q3

French staffing firm Groupe Crit (CEN: FP) reported revenue yesterday for the third quarter of 2019 of €649.5 million, an increase of 0.1% compared to last year but down by 0.4% when adjusting for constant currency and acquisitions.

The staffing & recruitment division posted revenue of €528.4 million during the third quarter, stable when compared to the previous year. The multi-services division reported revenue of €128.3 million, up 2.1% and up 3.4% on an organic basis.

Groupe Crit also reported revenue of €1.88 billion, up 0.9% when compared to the previous year and an increase of 0.1% when adjusting for constant currency and acquisitions. The company said it faced a more demanding environment in 2019 than in the previous year.

In France (76.5% of total first nine months’ activity), revenue amounted to €1.44 billion, up 0.7%.

International revenue amounted to €442.0 million in the first nine months, down 2.0% when adjusting for constant currency and acquisitions.

Groupe Crit said it aims to maintain a high level of activity with “positive developments in profitability.”

The group added that it will remain attentive to external growth opportunities that could enable it to strengthen its operations in Europe and in the US.

As of last trade Groupe Crit traded at €66.50, down 0.60% on the day and 4.86% below its 52-week high of €69.90, set on 27 Aug 2019. Based on its current share price the company has a market value of €752.63 million.
