French startup Shine received €8 million (USD 9.3 million)  in a funding round to build an alternative to banks for France-based freelancers, TechCrunch reported. “While it’s pretty easy to get started as a freelancer in many countries, France is not one of them,” according to TechCrunch. “You need to register a ‘micro-company,’ report your earnings for corporate taxes, report sales tax collection in some cases and more.”
