France – Demand for managers up in 2016

According to a new report from APEC, the Association for the Employment of Professionals, Managers, and Executives (Association Pour l’Emploi des Cadres), in 2016, private sector companies plan to hire between 182,000 to 200,000 managers and middle managers, an increase of up to 10% compared to 2015.

The report shows that of the regions, ten are expecting to see a surge in hiring for managers and middle managers. Only Normandy and Burgundy / Franche-Comté will see no rise in hiring.

In the Île-de-France, PACAC, Auvergne / Rhône-Alpes, Languedoc-Roussillon / Midi-Pyrénées regions, the services sector will be hiring the most managers and middle managers. Meanwhile, in Centre Loire Valley, Burgundy / Franche-Comté, Great Eastern and Normandy, the industrial sector represents at least a third of hiring. Moreover, the trading/commerce sector represents nearly a quarter of hiring in the Hauts de France region.
