Founder of French staffing firm Groupe Adequat passes away

French staffing firm Groupe Adequat announced that the group’s founder Jean-Marc Brun has passed away.

Brun founded the company in 1987 in Lyon, France. In a LinkedIn post, the company said Brun was driven to start the company with the desire to be free and independent and become ‘his own boss’.

“For the next 35 years, Jean-Marc Brun would commit himself every day to the development of his business,” Group Adequat stated. “One of his strengths: knowing how to surround himself with the right people, giving them as much autonomy as possible so that they can best express their potential. Soon, success will be there and the beautiful story continues.”

In 2017, Groupe Adequat said it joined the top 50 global companies in the sector with a turnover exceeding €1 billion.

In 2018, Staffing Industry Analysts featured Brun on its Staffing 100 Europe list of most influential leaders in the workforce solutions ecosystem.

In 2022, Brun entrusted the chairmanship of the supervisory board of Groupe Adéquat to his son Arnaud.

“Epicurean, inspiring, visionary, Jean-Marc Brun had a talent for human relations and knew how to give consideration to everyone, whatever their status, with a natural simplicity and a motto: always be careful of what you can provoke in others’,” the group stated.
