Finland – HR Services firm VMP to merge its two recruitment brands

29 June 2018

Helsinki-based HR services firm VMP Plc announced that it will merge its recruitment consultancies Romana Management and Personnel into the Personnel brand in September 2018.

Earlier this month the company completed its Initial Public Offering and became listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange’s First North Finland market place.  The merger is related to the group’s internal reorganisation arrangement mentioned in VMP’s Offering Circular.

Until now, VMP has provided comprehensive services in recruitment, suitability assessment, training, and executive search under both the Personnel and Romana brands.

Ari Juvonen, Managing Director at Personnel, commented, “The merger will bring clear benefits to the customers of both companies. Romana’s customers will have access to a significantly more extensive network of business locations, while Personnel’s customers will benefit from the more comprehensive organisational development services.”

“Romana’s strong expertise in organisational and leadership development will expand Personnel’s service offering,” the group stated. “Through the merger, Personnel’s comprehensive network of business locations will also gain a new location in Turku. At the same time, Personnel’s staff will increase to over fifty employees.”

Juha Pesola, CEO of VMP Plc, also commented, “Improving the efficiency of our business operations is one of the cornerstones of our strategy, benefiting not only our growth prospects, but also our customers. We believe that the new Personnel will be even stronger in developing recruitment methods based on customer needs.”

VMP offers staffing, recruiting and organisational development and self employment services. In 2017, VMP’s revenue amounted to €109.5 million and EBITDA was €9.3 million.
