Finland - Barona Group profitable again

31 October 2011

Revenues were up by +56.3% from 78.3 million Euro in 2009 to 122.3 million Euro in 2010 at Barona Group, the privately owned Finland-based temporary and permanent staffing group with offices in Russia, Sweden and Estonia.

Profit for the financial year was up from a loss of 692,000 Euro in 2009 to a profit of 27,000 Euro in 2010.

Markus Oksa, CEO of Barona Group, commented “we are extremely pleased with our results from last year although we were somewhat restrained by changes in our outsourcing business. We have continued our strong growth this year and we have strengthened our position as the market leader in Finland. According to the Talouselämä Top-500 companies report we are the number one candidate of increasing employment most during this year.”

“In addition to our more traditional personnel leasing business, we are also recruiting an increasing number of candidates directly for our clients. Innovative methods and usage of video technology for attracting job applicants and improved employee services have been received well by our clients and we will continue developing our service portfolio.”

Barona Group was founded in 1999 and specialises in the hiring of professionals in the IT, social and healthcare, logistics, industrial and construction sectors.

Barona also has recruitment offices in India and Poland where it hires local professionals for positions in the Finnish labour market. The group provides an accommodation service to cater for the needs of international workers who come to Finland and Finnish workers who work away from home in other parts of this large country with a small population.
