ManpowerGroup named Muriel Pénicaud to its board effective 12 December. Pénicaud formerly served as French ambassador to the OECD and the minister of labour in France under President Emmanuel Macron. Prior to her public service, Pénicaud was CEO of Business France and senior executive VP at Danone Group, in charge of human resources and part of that company’s executive committee.

Staffline Group plc reported board member Ian Starkey will not stand for re-election at the company’s annual general meeting in 2023. Starkey will remain on the board until publication of the group’s annual report for the year ending 31 December 2022 and support an orderly transition to a new audit committee chair.

BrightHR appointed Thea Watson as chief international growth and marketing officer. Watson comes to BrightHR from Hays, where she spent 10 years, most recently as global customer experience director.

Executive search firm Mercuri Urval named Thorsten Kocherscheidt as group director to lead its office in Frankfurt, Germany. Kocherscheidt has more than 30 years of experience.
