Europe – Employees in Greece and Spain least confident in keeping their jobs over next 6 months

Approximately 73% of professionals in Europe are confident about maintaining their job within the next six months, according to data from Randstad.

The countries with the highest confidence were Luxembourg (85%), Austria (82%), while the countries with the lowest confidence were Spain (66%) and Greece (61%).

Belgium (77%) and Germany (76%) also ranked above average as did the Netherlands (76%) and Portugal (74%). In France, the job confidence rate stood at the same level as the European average (73%).

The United Kingdom registered a rate of 68%, while Norway was also below average (72%).

According to data from Eurostat, Spain and Greece also had the highest unemployment rate of the EU 28 countries. The unemployment rate in Spain in October stood at 14.8% while the last available data for Greece showed that the unemployment rate in August stood at 18.9%.
