Europe – Alma Media sells stake in Czech recruitment firm Talent’em

03 May 2023

Finland-based media company Alma Media which operates a number of job boards, announced it has sold 90% of the common stock it owns of Czech-based Talent’em to the company’s acting management.

The remaining 10% is contracted to be sold during this year, the company added.

The parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction price. The transaction does not have a significant impact on Alma Media’s result.

Talent’em specialises in direct searches in recruiting. It entered the Alma Media Group as Monster.cz in 2013. Talent'em's turnover for 2022 was approximately €0.8 million.

Vesa-Pekka Kirsi, Senior Vice President said, “Alma Career seeks scalable business, especially in digital recruitment services. The business model of Talent'em is more focused on direct searches. Therefore, it was natural for us to divest our stake in company. We wish it a successful continuation.”

Last month the group reported revenue last month of €75.2 million in Q1 2023, a decrease of 1.3% when compared to last year. In its report, the group highlighted that sales of recruitment services remained at a ‘good level’ in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Croatia.
