Estonia – Anonymous jobs app MeetFrank announces €1.5 million funding round

05 December 2019

Jobs app MeetFrank closed a €1.5 million funding round, the Tallinn, Estonia-based company announced Thursday.

MeetFrank bills itself as a machine learning and chatbot combination. It says its service matching workers to jobs is anonymous for the job seekers, who are not required to provide their real name or other identifying information in order to get matches with companies. It aims to assist job seekers who are looking at employment options without alerting their current bosses.

“We want to match people to the companies that align with their views, values, and aspirations,” said CEO Kaarl Holm. “Currently, the global talent pool is too biased towards location instead of attracting the best talent.”

The funding round was led by Karma.vc, Enern VC, Change Ventures and Hummingbird.

Founded in 2017, MeetFrank says it has raised €2.45 million in funding so far and has more than 265,000 users. Its largest markets are Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Germany.
