Employment of recent graduates reaches new high (Eurostat)

In 2022, data shows that 82% of recent graduates aged between 20-34 in the European Union were employed, which marks a new peak, according to an article by Eurostat. The previous peak of 81% happened in 2018. The employment rate for recent male graduates has consistently been higher than that for recent female graduates. However, the most recent data shows the smallest gap recorded between 2014 and 2022. Luxembourg and the Netherlands had the highest employment rates for recent graduates at 93% each while Italy had the lowest at 65%.
