Denmark – Jobindex completes sale of its Swedish operations to Blocket AB

14 October 2019

Danish job board Jobindex (JOBNDX: CPH) announced that it has completed the sale of its Swedish operations, under the name Jobbsafari to Blocket AB.

The company first announced its plans to sell its Swedish operations to Blocket AB in June 2019.

Jobindex did not disclose financial details of the transaction.

The jobbsafari.se site is still hosted and run by Jobindex, but the Swedish customers are now handled by Blocket AB.

According to the company, half of the Swedish employees of Jobindex have resigned, while the other half are part of a new international team that will sell Danish job ads to Swedish and international clients under the name Jobindex International.

Jobindex also announced that as a result of the successful completion of the sale, Henrik Christensen has resigned as CEO of Jobbsafari and Deputy Director of Jobindex.

According to the company, Christensen has been Deputy Director of Jobindex since 2006 and has been of great importance for the development of the group, first as second in command of Jobindex, among others, during the IPO in 2007, and most recently as responsible for the build-up of the Swedish activities, which have now been successfully sold to Blocket AB.

Kaare Danielsen, Director of Jobindex, commented, “I would like to say a big thank you to Henrik Christensen for his help and support in running the group for many years, and most recently for having built up the Swedish activities and led the project in handing over all the activities to Blocket AB.”
