Hours worked by temporary agency workers fell 2.37% in January compared to the same month last year, according to numbers released Friday by Federgon, the Belgian federation of staffing agencies. Compared to December, the number of temporary agency workers was down by 0.02% in January, according to seasonally adjusted numbers.

The Federgon index edged down to a level of 113.68 in January from a level of 113.70 in December. This index reports the level of activity in the month under review compared to January 2007 on a seasonally adjusted basis.
