Belgium – Temp Workers’ hours increase in May

The number of hours worked by temporary workers in May increased by 4.06% compared to the same month last year, according to Federgon, the Belgian Federation of Staffing Agencies.

When compared to the previous month, the number of hours worked by temporary workers rose by 2.69% on a seasonally adjusted basis.

According to Federgon, the number of hours worked by blue-collar temporary agency workers increased by 3.10% while they also increased by 2.15% for white-collar workers, when compared to the previous month.

The Federgon index reached 259.0 points in May 2016 against 252.2 points in April. This index reflects the level of activity in the month studied compared to the base month of January 1995 (100 points) on a seasonally adjusted basis .
