HR consultancy group T-Groep (T-Group) has appointed Tom Verhaegen as its new CEO with effect from 6 September 2017.

Verhaegen follows Mark Verstraete who oversaw T-Groep for more than 15 years. Under Verstraete’s leadership, T-Groep grew to 140 offices in Belgium, The Netherlands, and Poland. Verstraete will remain on the Board of Directors.

"After more than 15 years it was time to transfer the operational tasks to a successor and mine to restrict my role as director within the Board of Directors, where I will assist Tom with my years of experience within T-Groep,” Verstraete said.

Verhaegen previously worked in leadership roles with British American Tobacco, Interbrew, Inbev, Grolsh, and SAB Miller.

"The recruitment sector is a rapidly changing sector,” Verhaegen said. “I strongly believe in the potential of this sector in general, and of T-Groep in particular, mainly because of our personal approach from both client and candidate. For authenticity and quality will always be a market.”

T-Groep is a provider of HR solutions in temporary staffing, outplacement and recruitment & selection. In 2016 T-Groep was acquired by Dutch Guild Buy Out Partners.
