Belgium – Online job vacancies up 12.3% in Q2

The number of unique job vacancies posted online in Belgium grew by 12.3% in the second quarter of 2018 when compared to the same quarter in 2017, according analysis by Jobfeed, Textkernel's Big Data tool for vacancies.

Jobfeed’s data showed that there were 274,290 unique vacancies posted online in Belgium in the second quarter. The number of vacancy ads totalled 834,559 in the second quarter of this year, meaning that there were three advertisements for each unique vacancy.

The provinces of Antwerp, West and East Flanders together accounted for 58.6% of all online vacancies.

The sector with the most vacancies was Sales & Trade. Meanwhile, the most requested profession was for service technician.

Meanwhile, the market share for vacancies on an interim/secondment (temporary) basis grew by 8.8% in Q2 2018 when compared to last year. In terms of  interim vacancies, posted, Randstad had the largest share

Multinational electric utility company ENGIE was found to be the direct employer with the most full-time vacancies.
