French staffing firm Synergie announced that it is increasing its presence in Europe with the signature of an agreement to take over 80% of Völker in Austria. The majority takeover is part of Synergie’s strategy in actively pursuing its development in Europe and around the world. No further financial details of the transaction were disclosed.

Völker, an HR firm, operates a network of 15 branches across Austria and Synergie claims that the company is expected to be worth €65 million this year, up 14% compared to 2016. According to Synergie, the company has become a major player in services for industrial groups and in the high value added services.

Its integration with Synergie Group is subject to the approval of the Austrian merger control authority.

Synergie reported revenue for the six months ended 30 June 2017 of €1.09 billion.
