Abiant Holding, a Dutch temporary employment agency, announced it has acquired @WORK Personeelsdiensten (Personnel Services), a temporary employment agency also based in the Netherlands.

Financial details were not disclosed.

With this acquisition, Abiant significantly strengthens its market position in the Dutch province of Friesland.

@WORK has two branches in Drachten and Kollum and employs 14 employees. Every week, more than 750 flex workers work through @WORK in various sectors, including production, construction and transport. It is primarily active in the province of Friesland. The company will retain its own brand name.

Albert Jan Jongsma, general manager of Abiant Holding, said, “Thanks to the acquisition, we can strengthen each other's proposition and exchange the best ways to work with each other. This acquisition not only offers new growth opportunities, but also gives us the opportunity to share our knowledge and expertise with @WORK. Particularly in the areas of recruitment and selection, labour migrants and digitalisation, but also in the areas of job coaching and working and learning.”
Jongsma emphasised that it will be business as usual and there will be no personnel changes for either companies.
