100 Firms Ranked by SIA
Mountain View, California & London, UK — December 3, 2019 — Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA), the global advisor on staffing and workforce solutions, has released its 2019 report on the Largest Global Staffing Firms. Ranked by 2018 revenue, the report covers the largest 100 firms worldwide, with a combined revenue totaling USD $225 billion (EUR 190 billion) and accounting for 46% of global staffing market revenue.
Netherlands-based Randstad Holding leads the list, upsetting The Adecco Group, which previously held the number one spot in consecutive recent years and was bumped to second on this year’s list. ManpowerGroup remained at number three on the list, with Recruit and Allegis Group achieving fourth and fifth positions respectively as these two firms swapped positions from last year’s SIA rankings.

“This year we have a new company at number one, with Randstad moving past The Adecco Group, with more turnover from staffing and place and search worldwide,” said Adam Pode, Director of Research. “Recruit Holdings has moved past Allegis to fourth place. However, it is still short of its ambition of becoming the largest staffing firm in the world by 2020 without a very large acquisition. There are three very large Chinese companies in our list. These are currently focused domestically but could have a large impact on the market if they shift that focus.”
Forty-eight staffing firms on this list are headquartered in EMEA, while 36 are headquartered in North America and 16 in Asia.
