Recruit, LinkedIn, Seek Top List of Largest Job Boards Globally

SIA Ranks Top 30 Job Boards Worldwide for 2016

Mountain View, California — March 29, 2016 — Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) has announced its ranking of the Largest Job Boards Globally for 2016. This is SIA’s second annual ranking by revenue and covers 30 companies in a report which provides insights into total market size, year-on-year growth, currency effects and the impact of M&A. The ranking takes the broadest definition of Job Boards to include all forms of career portals such as social media sites, career communities, job aggregators and job distributors.

Recruit, a Japanese HR company, led the list once again with $2,273 million in annual revenue. Recruit operates a number of brands and firms internationally including the prominent Job Board Indeed. LinkedIn remained in the number two position with $1,877 million, while the Australian-based Seek followed in third with $711 million in a bump up from its spot as fifth in last year’s ranking. 

TEGNA, who own CareerBuilder, and Monster also secured top rankings, as the fourth and fifth largest respectively.

“For the second consecutive year our research identifies the structure and size of the marketplace,” said John Nurthen, SIA’s Executive Director of Global Research. “The 30 companies comprise a combined revenue of approximately $8.9 billion, with 12 of the 30 Job Boards headquartered in the US, eight in Europe and six in Asia Pacific.” The total market size is estimated somewhere between USD 10 billion and USD 20 billion.
