Peoplelink names new president, chairman

April 02, 2014

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Jay Mattern took over the role of president from CEO W. Jay Wilkinson, who will continue as CEO and also become chairman.

William Wilkinson, previously the chairman of the board, will take an active role on the Peoplelink board as chairman emeritus.

Mattern, now Peoplelink’s president and COO, is a founder of the company and has 27 years in the staffing industry.

CFO Jeffrey Miller will also take on the position of executive vice president. Miller is heading into his fourth year with the company. He has also held senior-level positions in public accounting and in manufacturing in prior careers.

“This positive restructuring is coming as a result of explosive growth that the Peoplelink group of companies has experienced over the past few years,” the company said in a news release. “This growth will align the executive group not only for the current growth, but future growth as well. Additionally, this will broaden the current organization structure to allow for future key executive positions yet to be named.”

South Bend, Ind.-based Peoplelink ranks No. 84 on Staffing Industry Analysts’ list of largest U.S. staffing firms and No. 28 on the list of largest industrial staffing firms in the United States. It is majority owned by Groupe Crit, a Paris-based staffing provider, which acquired a majority share in PeopleLink in September 2011.
