People: Eliassen, Labor Smart, Boyden and more

Here are recent promotions, new hires and other personnel announcements made by staffing firms. Today’s listings include announcements from Eliassen, Labor Smart, Boyden, Tatum, The Caldwell Partners, Accelent and Atwork Group.

Eliassen Group, a Wakefield, Mass.-based information technology staffing firm, appointed Gregory Netland to its board of directors, effective immediately. Netland has more 25 years of staffing industry experience. Netland joined the board of Vedior in 2007, and subsequently was appointed to the board of Randstad Holding NV, following its acquisition of Vedior in 2008. At Randstad, Netland was responsible for all operations in the United States, Canada and Mexico from May 2008 through April of 2012.

Labor Smart Inc. (OTCBB: LTNC), a provider of industrial staffing, added Jay Reynolds as director of business development. He will be a member of the corporate accounts team. Reynolds most recently was district manager at TrueBlue Inc. (NYSE: TBI).

Boyden Global Executive Search announced Don Leon joined its New York office as a partner. Leon specializes in placing C-level and senior executives for media and digital technology companies and content publishers. Prior to joining Boyden, he was a managing director at a New York-based boutique search firm.

The Caldwell Partners International Inc. (TSX: CWL), a Toronto-based executive search firm, announced John Strackhouse joined the firm as a partner in the industrial and technology practices, based out of Philadelphia. Strackhouse previously was a partner in the private equity and CEO and board practices at executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles International Inc. (NASD: HSII).

Executive search firm Accelent Inc. appointed Drew Seath as partner. Seath launched Absolute Value, a sales recruiting and consulting business, in 2011. Prior to this, he served as president at Medefield America, a specialized healthcare database business.

AtWork Group announced Melodye Johnson will own a new location of AtWork Group in Statesboro, Ga. Barbara and Clint Rushing will handle the day-to-day operations at the Statesboro branch. AtWork Group is a national staffing franchise.
