Japan – Hito Communications reports a strong growth in revenue

Japanese human resources provider Hito Communications Inc. (3654: JP) reported revenue of JPY 16.8 billion (USD 165.3 million) for the nine-months ending 31 May 2014, an increase of +11.7% compared with JPY 15 billion (USD 147.6 million) for the same period last year.

Pre-tax profit for the year rose by +22.6% to JPY 1.7 billion (USD 16.7 million), up from JPY 1.4 billion (USD 13.8 million) in 2013. The company reported a net income for the nine-month period of JPY 909 million (USD 8.9 million), a rise of +22.7% from JPY 740 million (USD 7.3 million) a year ago.

Hito Communications Inc. provides human resource services. It offers corporate services, such as temporary staffing, business recruitment and outsourcing, business sales promotion, outsourced sales support, and employee training outsourcing services, as well as recruitment services for individual users in distribution and service sectors. The company was founded in 1998 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.

The company’s full year forecast remains unchanged, with revenue predicted to reach JPY 21.8 billion (USD 214.5 million) for the year ending 31 August 2014. Net income is expected to reach JPY 1 billion (USD 9.8 million), with an operating profit of JPY 1.85 billion (USD 18.2 million). The company expects that their full year pre-tax profit will reach JPY 1.86 billion (USD 18.3 million).

Despite the positive trading update, the company’s share price closed down by -1.8% at JPY 2,002 (USD 19.70), an increase of +43.8% compared with a year ago. Based on its current share price, the company has a market value of JPY 17.9 billion (USD 176.1 million).
