Motion Recruitment Partners acquires IT staffing provider Matrix Resources

Motion Recruitment Partners LLC acquired Matrix Resources, which ranks on SIA’s list of largest IT staffing providers. Matrix will join with Motion Recruitment’s own IT staffing business; combined, the company reports the operations will rank in the top 15 of IT staffing providers in the US.

The deal closed at the end of last year.

“This is as ideal a fit as it gets with the incredibly complementary footprint, account portfolio and functional competencies within both of these established leaders in the IT staffing and managed solutions space,” said Beth Gilfeather, CEO of Motion Recruitment Partners.

Motion Recruitment operates in 16 sales markets. Acquiring Matrix will add six new sales markets; approximately 200 additional delivery resources; Agile and DevSecOps consulting; and telecom specialized managed services, according to the company.

“This move combines the strengths of two incredible companies to provide even more exceptional service to our clients and consultants,” said Gary Wood, CEO of Matrix Resources.

The companies plan to spend the upcoming year unifying their businesses. All of Matrix’s executives will remain with the combined company.

Matrix is based in Atlanta and was founded in 1983. It provides IT staffing and managed solutions across North America for contracting and direct hire, including telecom managed services and Agile and DevSecOps consulting. Gartner Inc. defines DevSecOps as “the integration of security into emerging agile IT and DevOps development as seamlessly and as transparently as possible.”

Motion Recruitment provides IT staffing and managed solutions. Its Sevenstep division includes recruitment process outsourcing and managed service provider offerings. Its tech consulting division working in the federal sector is The Goal. Motion Recruitment Partners was founded in 1983 and is based in Boston.
