Volt forms solutions groups

Volt Information Sciences Inc. (NYSE MKT: VISI) this week announced it formed a strategic solutions group and a global solutions group. The move comes after the company announced last month it was evaluating potential strategic alternatives, including a possible sale, and President and CEO Michael Dean left the company.

In today’s announcement, Volt reported that Rhona Driggs will lead its global solutions group, which will focus on the company’s managed service provider business and VMS delivery and will expand its scope to include the company’s European consulting group.

Driggs’ new title is president, Volt Global Solutions.

In addition, Volt announced it hired Chris Kelly as senior VP of strategic solutions.

Kelly will focus on vendor-on-premise accounts, which will help capitalize on local and regional delivery, building on the company’s existing retail footprint, according to the company. She has more than 25 years of industry experience and most recently was VP, strategic sales at Nelson, responsible primarily for enterprise-wide sales efforts. Before Nelson, she was national sales director for the West at Spherion/Randstad.
