Travel Nurse Across America acquires Stogo

Travel Nurse Across America, a travel nurse staffing firm, acquired Stogo, a provider of a mobile app that enables healthcare systems to fill staffing gaps with internal employees or with Stogo-employed clinicians. The deal closed mid-July.

“The addition of Stogo brings new capabilities and seasoned healthcare executives to help further our mission to serve as a true partner to our customers,” Travel Nurse Across America President and CEO Tim McKenzie said in a statement.

Stogo, based in San Antonio, Texas, estimates it will fill more than 100,000 shifts this year through its mobile platform.

“Health systems across the country are looking for ways to maximize their core staff, expand the use of internal float pools and engage skilled clinicians from their communities to pick up extra shifts,” James Quick, president of SimpliFI, a managed services division of TNAA, said in a press release. “Stogo helps us deliver on each of these charters for our customers.”

Travel Nurse Across America, based in North Little Rock, Arkansas, ranked No. 21 on last year’s Fastest-Growing Staffing Firms list.

“The cultural fit and aligned vision for the platform were two of the most compelling factors about joining TNAA,” Stogo founders Heather Anderson and Patrick Halinski said in a press release. “Joining TNAA provides Stogo with resources and strong customer relationships that will help fuel the continued expansion of the platform.”

Anderson and Halinski will continue to manage daily operations of Stogo. In addition, Stogo CTO Mark Mystead will continue to oversee platform development.

Terms of the transaction were not announced.
