Epic Staffing Group buys SBG Healthcare and Chicago Telerad

Epic Staffing Group acquired SBG Healthcare, a provider of locum tenens staffing, in a deal that closed Oct. 30. The life sciences and healthcare staffing provider also announced its acquisition of Chicago Telerad and named industry veteran Brandi Vines to the newly created role of VP of client development.

SBG Healthcare’s co-founder and president, Drew Seder, will remain with the company as president.

Separately, Epic Staffing Group also acquired Chicago Telerad, a provider of diagnostic imaging and teleradiology services for hospitals. Faisal Sami, M.D., leads the firm and will remain as president. The deal closed Sept. 15.

Epic ranks as the 22nd-largest healthcare staffing firm in the US. It was acquired by private investment firm The Pritzker Organization LLC in 2022.

Epic Staffing Group, founded in 2017, is based in El Segundo, California.

Terms of the transactions were not announced.
