Medical Solutions brings in former Aya and Adecco execs, promotes leader

Medical Solutions, the third-largest healthcare staffing firm in the US, named two new C-suite executives and promoted another.

Curt Baldwin — who previously served as chief technology officer at Aya Healthcare — joins Medical Solutions as chief technology officer. The company also named Rich Thompson, a former Adecco executive, as chief human resources officer.

In addition, Medical Solutions promoted Chanel Georges to executive VP of Host Healthcare, a Medical Solutions brand. Host Healthcare was acquired by Medical Solutions in November 2022 and provides travel nursing, allied and therapy jobs. Georges is taking on the day-to-day leadership responsibilities of Host Healthcare as founder Adam Francis transitions to board observer on the Medical Solutions’ board. Francis launched Host in 2012 and is included in this year’s Staffing 100 list.

The announcement comes after Medical Solutions named Rebecca Rogers Tijerino, a former group president at Randstad, as its new CEO earlier this year.

“We enthusiastically welcome these three exceptional professionals to our executive team,” Tijerino said in a press release. “With their expertise and dedication, we’re equipped to enhance our ability to meet and exceed the needs of those we serve.”

New CTO Baldwin previously developed strategy and led technology initiatives at Aya Healthcare.

“Technology has the power to transform lives, and I'm excited to bring my expertise to the table,” Baldwin said in a press release.

Thompson, the new CHRO, has more than 30 years of staffing and recruiting experience. He most recently served as CEO and founder of Xtra Point Group, XPG Recruit and Podium X. Before that, Thompson served in various leadership roles at the Adecco Group, including as chief human resources officer for the Americas, UK and Ireland.

“I’m honored to have the opportunity to work alongside such talented individuals and look forward to making a meaningful impact as we chart the course toward even greater success together,” Thompson said in a press release.

Georges, who took on the role of executive VP of Host, joined the organization nearly a decade ago as a recruitment specialist. Most recently, she served as VP of sales and operations.

“As I step into this new role, I am both humbled and inspired by the opportunity to drive our company’s vision forward,” Georges said in a press release.
