Engineering consulting and staffing provider Belcan LLC acquired Base2 Solutions, a software and systems engineering consultancy to customers in highly regulated industries such as aerospace, defense and medical devices. 

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. 

Base2’s services include software development, DevOps, security and systems engineering. It is headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, with an additional office in Brea, California. Clients include The Boeing Co., Thales, Horizon Air, BioLife Solutions, Halyard and L3Harris.

Base2 was sold by France-based Safran — an international high-technology group, operating in the aviation, defense and space markets — as part of ongoing portfolio optimization efforts following its acquisition of Zodiac Aerospace in 2018.

“This addition brings high demand capability in digital systems and software, a key customer base, and exceptionally talented leadership and technical teams,” Belcan CEO Lance Kwasniewski said.

Cincinnati-based Belcan supplies engineering, technical recruiting and IT services to the aerospace, defense, industrial, and government services markets. It ranks sixth on Staffing Industry Analysts’ list of the largest engineering staffing firms in the US.
